Part time – office administrator

 

5 days a week (Mon – Fri)

 

Hours   -  6 hours a day  - 30 hours pw

 

Location – 9, St Augustine’s Parade, Bristol BS1 4UT

 

£7-£8 per hour dependant on relevant experience and training needed

Job Description

 

Full Time Valuations Administrator

 

The applicant will be responsible for the production of Reports and Valuations of client Investments. The applicant will need to have good computing skills in word outlook and excel. Experience in producing charts and Reports in excel and Word would be beneficial as this will form a large part of the job. Knowledge of any back office software systems such as First, Fairs or similar would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given. The candidate should have experience at data entry into back office systems/ databases and producing reports from this information.

 

A basic knowledge of Assurance, investments and pensions is essential. A pass grade in any of the certificate of financial planning modules would be an advantage.  The job requires an understanding of the different financial products on the market including legacy products.

 

The ideal applicant would be able to organise and prioritise their workload effectively.  They should have the ability to work without supervision once trained. They should be proactive in identifying and solving day to day problems which may arise and be able to work in a pressurised environment from time to time.

 

Nicholls Stevens Financial Services is a small business and all members of staff are expected to be willing to help out other members of staff with their responsibilities.  All members of staff are expected to deal with incoming telephone calls from clients when necessary.

 

 

 
  RESPONSIBILITIES

The job will involve

 

Telephoning insurance companies for up to date valuations

Telephoning insurance companies for up to date policy details.

Inputting large amounts of client data to keep the database up to date.

Maintaining the valuation diary system

Ensuring the clients are being invoiced for their valuations/reports

Registering with Insurance companies and keeping registrations and certificates up to date

Using automatic downloads to update client valuations

Producing reports for clients using Excel and Word – data will be merged in from the database

Ensuring the valuation notes are kept up to date

Ensuring the database is kept up to date with current information sent in by clients

Checking all reports and valuations before they leave the office

Writing covering letters to go out with the valuations.

Updating online valuations
